Library to hold lecture on great snow storm of 1947

The Friends of the Pauline Haass Library will present a free program on "Cream City Memories" with an emphasis on the great Wisconsin snow storm of Jan. 21, 1947 at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21.

Twenty-four inches of snow fell that day and snarled greater Milwaukee for a three-day period. The people who lived through this storm are fast disappearing, and speaker Dick Pfeiffer still counts it as one of the great days of his life's memories.

The lecture will take place in the Quad Room at Pauline Haass Library, N64 W23820 Main St., Sussex.
