There’s something fishy in Lake Country this weekend.
St. Jerome’s in Oconomowoc is serving a fish fry from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Friday in the school cafeteria, 1001 S. Silver Lake St. Cost is $9 for adults $4 for children 4 to 11 and free for kids 4 and younger. Soda, beer and desserts are available at additional cost.
Queen of Apostles Catholic Church on Capitol Drive in Pewaukee is also having a fish fry from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Friday. Choose two- or three-piece fish dinners, baked cod, fried shrimp or grilled cheese for kids.
The Waukesha Elks Lodge, 2301 Springdale Road in Waukesha, will have fish fries 5:30 to 8 p.m. first and third Fridays until April 18. Besides baked or fried cod and fried shrimp, walleye will be featured this week.
If you’d rather catch your own fish, join the fun at a fisheree. American Legion Post 294 is hosting a fisheree Saturday with raffles, door prizes, games and food throughout the day. Register at the post and bring in your fish before 5 p.m. to win prizes.
