Music is in the air this weekend

Spring is in the air (some days at least). And there’s music in the air this weekend as well.

A Hymn Sing and Gospel Bluegrass Concert will be presented at 7 p.m. Friday at Lake Country School Auditorium, 1800 Vettelson Road, Hartland. The talented Burie Family will perform at the free concert. Pie and ice cream will be served at intermission. For more information call (262) 567-3830.

Mama D’s Coffee, 104 W. Main St. Suite 102, Wales, is hosting a weekend of music starting with Vicanco-Gomez Duet Peruvian Classical Guitar from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Saturday. From 10 a.m. to noon Sunday the Milwaukee Guitar Quartet will entertain. For more information visit www.mamadscoffee.com.

The Waukesha Choral Union will present "Creation: Let There Be Light" at 3 p.m.  Sunday at Carroll University Shattuck Music Center, 218 N. East Ave., Waukesha.  The concert is free.

The Lake Country Players are staging the hilarious musical “Monty Python’s Spamalot” at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at Lake Country Playhouse, 221 E. Capitol Drive, Hartland. For information call (262) 367-3072 or visit www.lakecountryplayhouse.net.
