The Mukwonago Area School District sports a rich, clean, leaner look on its new website that rolled out this week. As parents navigate the site, they will find everything organized by topic, with an announcement section new to the district homepage. While getting used to the new look will take a bit of adjusting, with menus listed on the top of the site instead of the left, every topic is available within a couple of clicks.
It’s a bit of a shift of navigation, but district officials hope the “hook and look” layout will improve communication between schools and the community with a new, modern easy-to navigate, while celebrating the district’s achievements, according to Julie Miller, district.
“No matter where you are (on the site), everything is available to you,” Miller explained. “You don’t have to jump around on website looking for links. It’s all right there.”
One nice feature district officials are looking forward to is the achievement section. Attracting students and families to the district is on ongoing job. Miller said they wanted to find balance between promoting things going on in the district and attracting people looking to move into the Mukwonago ares.
“We have an outstanding district with high student achievement. We’re looking for avenues to share the great accomplishments with our parents and district,” said Superintendent Shawn McNulty. “We live in competitive county with numerous high-achieving school districts, and it’s important for us to market our district outside the immediate community.”
