Some of the heaviest rain ever to hit the Lake Country area blasted the area Wednesday morning from 8:45 to 9:15 a.m. More than one inch of rain fell in a short span.
Visibility around 9 a.m. was less than 30 yards at times. Traffic on Highway 16 near Hartland was slowed to 20 to 25 miles per hour.
Dime-sized hail also hit the Hartland area from 9 a.m. to 9:15 a.m.
Tree branches were in the roads on Highway E north of Hartland and several branches also fell into the driving lanes on Highway 83 north of Highway 16.
