Design materials free for reuse at Green Design

Green Design Center, Waukesha County,

A free reuse event will be held at the Green Design Center, 2201 Badger Court, Waukesha, on Friday, Aug. 22 from 2 to 5 p.m. and on Saturday, Aug. 23 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Waukesha County recycling office will be in attendance on Friday, Aug. 22, hosting an outreach booth to answer recycling questions and provide informational brochures.

This reuse event was put together by American Society of Interior Design in partnership with The Green Design Center and Non-Toxic Environments.  Excess design materials, such as extra fabric, floor tiles and carpet remnant, were collected from the design community to keep them from being landfilled.

During this event, the public is invited to come take any of these materials for free to be reused.  This is a great opportunity for residents to give new life to some of these materials as well as ask questions about recycling and get information on how to properly dispose of other items.

For more information, visit the Waukesha County website or call (262) 896-8300.
