Village of Pewaukee - With a new TIF district intact, Siepmann Realty plans to break ground soon on a new building.
The two-story, 10,000-square-foot building is across the street from Pewaukee Lakefront Beach and will feature retail or restaurant space on the first floor and office space on the upper floor.
Jim Siepmann said a tenant is lined up for the second floor office space, which will occupy 5,000 square feet.
"On the first floor, we have basically 5,000 square feet available for lease," Siepmann said. "We've designed the building so that it can accommodate a multitude of different uses ... We don't have any tentative users for the first floor yet."
Siepmann expects the tenant on the second floor to be in the building by August 2015.
"We will break ground this month to start the project," Siepmann explained.
Siepmann said the building will have a different look than what people are used to in downtown Pewaukee.
"It surprised a few people that it was not a classic storefront colonial look that we have on the street," he said. "We didn't want to repeat exactly what we had down there. This one's got a little more of a Nantucket feel to it. Basically the whole first floor is stone. The second floor is a shingle siding. It gives it a more 'lakey' feel to it."
