OPEN to host free program on raising healthy children

Learn “How to Raise Healthy Children in an Unhealthy Society” at a free presentation offered to parents in the Oconomowoc Area School District.

Hosted by the Oconomowoc Parent Education Network (OPEN), the program will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, at the Oconomowoc Arts Center.

The program will be presented by Dr. Doug Meske, a practicing psychotherapist in the Milwaukee area since 1968 and a national speaker on personal, couple and family wellness, who has worked with tens of thousands of people through his practice, lectures and retreats.

In his lecture, Meske will discuss five specific ways to not only make family life less difficult, but also how to raise children to be healthier, happier and more-effective in living life and in living as a family.

Parents and children of all ages are encouraged to attend this family-oriented event together. Meske’s talk will provide families with ideas on how to work together to improve relationships, communication patterns and create a healthy family life in a loving and nurturing environment.
