June 7th Adaptive Water Ski Day for Waukesha County on Pewaukee Lake

Saturday June 7th, we are taking on a first-come first-serve basis the first 45 people with disabilities that preregisters to water ski with sit skis for adaptive water skiing. Contact Kurt Roskopf 262 720 7031 adaptiveski@waterski.org If you don't make that first set of people going skiing, don't worry: You are welcome to come out and learn from the on-land instructions, demonstrations, and experiences. We are also going to schedule future sessions as well. For all things other than preregistering to ski on sit skis for adaptive water skiing, please contact Kurt Roskopf 262 720 7031 adaptiveski@waterski.org If you would like to volunteer, donate money to these programs, loan or donate equipment even up to a boat, please let Kurt know. Having skis, ropes, life jackets, and such is all helpful to contribute to allowing us to do as many of these programs as possible. We are also doing adaptive water skiing in Muskego at the same time, so that is an option as well. JoeKards will provide some art creations for some of the attendees AdvoCare will share information on hydration and other tips for days by the water and with sports Tupperware will share information on what is available to help support funding for these programs. Donna Lexa Art Centers will have art on display there. County Executive Dan Vrakas will be out to this event to share some remarks about this work on making adaptive water skiing more available in Waukesha County through our community groups and charities. A big thank you to Smokey's Bait Shop for donating use of their boat launch for the success of this event.

Festivus is traditionally held Dec. 23rd. With the other holiday busy-ness, the Roskopf family holds a Festivus celebration Feb. 7-9th. All are welcome to their residence in the Town of Lisbon to have fun with board games, darts, pool, music, stories, scavenger, pictures, team activities, social time, food, follies, and more. Everyone is welcome to Roskopfs Manor in the Town of Lisbon to enjoy food and festivities. We celebrate Alana's birthday that is Feb. 6th. Friday is a game and otherwise social night to catch-up sharing stories and so forth. Folks are welcome to stay the night and weekend. Saturday is a tradition in scavenger hunt by none other than Sue Roskopf. Get your teams together or show up to be assigned to a team for great fun in vehicles and shopping areas. A photo presentation follows with crowd participation. Don't miss the Great Festivus Feast. Sunday is more games and entertainment with tom foolery to boot. Join us for church if you would like at St. James of Menomonee Falls. Enjoy the fire of the fire place all weekend long. Pool table, darts, and other amenities for group activities available. https://plus.google.com/communities/115665671966528850437 https://plus.google.com/events/c4lnsmqh8tip4cknbafci6rhv2k?authkey=CLiqnrCZpoqo8wE This is a family and child friendly event.
