The Oconomowoc girls cross country team achieved perfection Thursday in the inaugural Nature Hill Challenge, hosted at the first-year course in Oconomowoc. The Raccoons took first place with the best-possible score of 15 points. (photo gallery)

Molly Seidel of University Lake School, a two-time defending state champion, actually won the race easily with a time of 14 minutes, 55.85 seconds, but ULS runners did not field a complete team and register a team score. Freshman Isabel Seidel threw her familiar last name into the fray with a fifth-place run of 16:52.

Among those with complete teams, Oconomowoc registered the top seven spots. Runners were Mandy Prom (2nd, 16:04), Abby Reier (3rd, 16:15), Olivia Radtke (4th, 16:30), Hannah Heidvogel (6th, 17:14), Molly Pearcy (7th, 17:14), Paige Haberkorn (8th, 17:17) and Carly Hall (9th, 17:19).

Ally Seneczko led Kettle Moraine by finishing 10th in 17:21, and her team took fifth over the 4K layout.

Junior Greg Gamroth of Kettle Moraine (2nd, 18:10) and sophomore Noah Brown of Oconomowoc (18:11) led their respective teams over the 5K course on the boys side. The Lasers took second as a team and the Raccoons fourth.
