The Village of Dousman has removed its warning for residents to conserve water after one of the village's two wells broke on Tuesday. The Village reports that a shaft broke in one of the wells.
A temporary pump has been put in place, and residents can use water as normal. The Department of Public Works (DPW) is investigating what the cost of repair will be. The shaft breaking was not a large concern to the DPW as it is considered a wear and tear item, and has been in the ground for 25 years.
The DPW reports that there were no problems or concerns from residents during the time the well was not operating.
