North Lake wins twice on the weekend

North Lake's Land O' Lakes Western Division baseball team won two games last weekend, stopping Hartland on Saturday 7-6 and defeating Menomonee Falls on Sunday, 6-4.

The surprising Lakers are 3-3 on the season, its best record after six games in more than 20 years.

Kyle Mabry pitched 7 strong innings against Hartland, allowing no earned runs. Eric Marquardt and Jake Calmes had two-run base hits in a six-run eighth inning. Travis Koeppen and Marquardt had two hits each for North Lake.

On Sunday Jesse Stapleton went the distance fo North Lake, tossing a six-hitter at the Falls.

James Stecker, Koeppen and Calmes had two hits each for the Lakers. Calmes drove in two runs.

Pewaukee leads the league at 6-1. West Bend is second at 4-1.
