Classic 8 leaders too much for KM

Waukesha West continued it's impressive run in the Classic 8 Conference on Friday, this time, turning away WIAA playoff hopeful Kettle Moraine in Wales.

The Wolverines improved to 6-0 in the conference with a 38-14 victory over the Lasers. Kettle Moraine trailed at halftime, 24-0, and Waukesha West went ahead 31-0 before the Lasers got on the scoreboard with a short touchdown pass from Kyle Kita to Logan Solano.

Waukesha West led 17-0 midway through the second quarter on a 1-yard touchdown run by quarterback Ryan Young. Young hooked up on a long touchdown pass to Nate Angles late in the third quarter, pushing Waukesha West's lead to 37-7.

Kettle Moraine, in a must-win situation on Wednesday at Milwaukee Pius, got its final points on another touchdown pass from Kita to Sam Campbell with 8:31 to play in the game.
