AHS girls stop Germantown

Arrowhead's varsity girls basketball team posted its most impressive win of the season Tuesday night as they defeated visiting Germantown in a nonconference game, 51-45.

The Warhawks exploded for a season-best 25 points in the first quarter and led at halftime, 37-20. Germantown outscored Arrowhead 25-14 in the final two periods but couldn't get ahead of AHS.

The win moved the Warhawks to 6-7 on the season. Germantown fell to 10-3.

Jessica Goetz led the winners with 10 points. Haley Thiel added 9 to that total. All 10 girls who played scored for the Warhawks.

AHS will play at Waukesha West Friday at 7:30 p.m.
