2017 Can-Am Duel at Daytona

DUEL 1: Chase Elliott does a burnout after winning his duel. Elliott already had secured the pole for the 59th running of the Daytona 500.

DUEL 1: Chase Elliott led twice for 25 laps.

DUEL 1: Jamie McMurray comes in for a pit stop after the first segment. McMurray finished second and will start third in the Daytona 500.

DUEL 1: Reed Sorenson (55) and Paul Menard (27) wreck. Sorenson was unable to finish the race.

DUEL 2: Denny Hamlin, front, pulls away from Clint Bowyer (14) and Kurt Busch (41) to win.

DUEL 2: Jimmie Johnson's Hendrick Motorsports crew works furiously to repair the damage to the No. 48 Chevrolet. Johnson was able to complete all 60 laps.

DUEL 2: Smoke pours out of Ryan Blaney's No. 21 Ford after contact with Jimmie Johnson (48).

DUEL 2: Dale Earnhardt Jr. (88), leading during a restart, led 53 of 60 laps but finished sixth.

DUEL 2: Kurt Busch, making a pit stop, finished third.
