Steve Fisher announced his retirement from San Diego State. The longtime Aztecs coach and former Michigan boss went 571-290 in 27 seasons as a coach, with three Final Fours and the 1989 national title. Some of his victories have officially been vacated by the NCAA, however, including two of his Final Four appearances acquired while leading the "Fab Five." Fisher turns over the keys at San Diego State to longtime assistant Brian Dutcher.

New Mexico hired New Mexico State coach Paul Weir to replace Craig Neal. Weir went 28-6 and led the rival Aggies to an NCAA tournament appearance in 2017, his lone season with the school.

Georgetown hired former player and NBA assistant coach Patrick Ewing on April 3.

New Mexico parted ways with Craig Neal after four seasons.

Dayton hired former Alabama and VCU head coach Anthony Grant as its new head coach on March 30.

Indiana hired Dayton's Archie Miller, who led the Flyers to the last four NCAA tournaments, including the Elite 8 in 2013-14.

John Thompson III failed to lead the Georgetown Hoyas to the NCAA tournament in three of the last four years.

VCU hired former assistant Mike Rhoades, who spent the last three seasons as Rice's head coach, compiling a 47-52 record, turning the Owls around in 2016-17 with 23 wins, the most in program history since 1953-54.

Tom Crean was fired by Indiana after going 166-135 with four NCAA tournament appearances in nine seasons.

Mike Hopkins was hired by Washington to replace Lorenzo Romar. A longtime Syracuse assistant, Hopkins was the Orange's "coach in waiting" behind Jim Boeheim before leaving to lead the Huskies.

Lorenzo Romar was fired by Washington after going 298-196 in 15 seasons. Romar made six NCAA tournaments, but none since 2011.

Will Wade was hired by LSU to replace Johnny Jones after going 51-20 with two NCAA tournament appearances in two seasons at VCU.

Johnny Jones was fired by LSU after going 90-72 with one NCAA tournament appearance in five seasons.

Brad Underwood was hired by Illinois to replace John Groce. Underwood left Oklahoma State after one season, where he went 20-13 in 2016-17 and went to the NCAA tournament.

John Groce was fired by Illinois after going 95-75 with one NCAA tournament appearance in five seasons.

Cuonzo Martin was hired by Missouri to replace Kim Anderson. Martin spent the last three seasons at Cal, going 62-39 with an NCAA tournament appearance before resigning.

Kim Anderson was fired by Missouri after going 27-68 in three seasons.

Kevin Keatts was hired by North Carolina State to replace Mark Gottfried. Keatts went 72-28 and made two NCAA tournaments in three seasons at UNC Wilmington.
