Lisbon Fire Auxiliary
The Lisbon Fire Department Auxiliary meets at 7:30 p.m. the third Thursday of each month, at the Richmond Station, N54 W26455 Lisbon Road, Lisbon.
The next meeting is Thursday, Jan. 19. The auxiliary is open to anyone interested in supporting the Lisbon Fire Department.

Sussex Village Park, N63 W24459 Main St., will host the annual free Sledding Party from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28.
Bring sleds, toboggans or tubes for traditional family fun. The afternoon includes food and beverages, family-friendly music, a snowman building contest and the warm Lion's Building will open for crafts and restrooms. The no-snow date is Saturday, Feb. 18.

The Town of Lisbon will hold its annual Winterfest family event from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, at Lisbon Community Park, N78 W26970 Bartlett Parkway.
This free family activity will include downhill sledding, ice skating and roasting hot dogs and marshmallows. Sled dogs will be available for petting, and the King of the Hill game will be played. Also, served free are chili, cookies, chips, hot chocolate and hot apple cider. The event will be held with or without snow.

Church 50th anniversary
Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church celebrating 50 years in the community. To mark the celebration, the church will focus on outreach and missions, youth and education ministry, leadership and staffing and music and worship. The church is located at N59 W22476 Silver Spring Drive, Sussex.

The Sussex-Lisbon Historical Society runs the Fred H. Keller History Museum, located in the Sussex Civic Center, Suite 240, N64 W23760 Main St., Sussex, on the second floor.
The museum is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. second and fourth Saturdays of the month. Specials visit can also be made. Current exhibits include railroad memorabilia, fossil, glacial and Native American artifacts and pioneer exhibits. Admission is $4, children 10 and younger are admitted free.
