Noah Reid

U.S. Air Force National Guard Airman 1st Class Noah Reid graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Reid earned distinction as an honor graduate.

He is a 2016 graduate of Arrowhead Union High School in Hartland.

Brady D. Michaelis 

Brady D. Michaelis has joined the United States Army Reserve under the Delayed Enlistment Program. The program gives young men and women the opportunity to delay reporting for basic military training for up to 270 days while they complete their educations and make preparations for military service.

An enlistment in the Reserve gives many new soldiers the option to learn a new skill, serve their country and become eligible to receive more than $37,440 toward college education and $50,000 for repayment of qualifying college loans.

After completion of basic military training, most soldiers receive advanced individual training in their career job specialties prior to being assigned to their their reserve units.

He will report to Fort Jackson, South Carolina, for basic training in November.

Michaelis is the son of Jen and Brad Michaelis of Waukesha.

He is a 2016 graduate of Kettle Moraine High School in Wales.
