Late night hosts skewer Trump for 'embarrassing phone calls' with Mexico, Australia

Late Night hosts had no hang-ups about mocking Trump over transcripts published by The Washington Post from alleged conversations POTUS had with the leaders of Mexico and Australia in January.

Seth Meyers gave "A Closer Look" to the conversations he deemed "embarrassing phone calls." 

According to the transcript, Trump encouraged Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto to reply "We will work it out" when asked about the wall, which Meyers found comical. 

"He's like a guy talking to his friend on their way home from a bachelor party," Meyers said. "'We cannot say we went to a strip club. Your wife will ask and my wife will ask, and it's best if we just say we had some steak and we went to bed early. But this only works if we both do it.'"  

The Daily Show with Trevor Noah

Before looking at body camera footage that allegedly documents a Baltimore officer planting drugs at a crime scene, Trevor Noah also  touched on the transcripts, which he proclaimed were "amazing."

Reading from the conversation in his Trump voice, Noah said, "On the wall, you and I both have a political problem. My people will stand up and say, 'Mexico will pay for the wall' and your people (will) probably say something in a similar but slightly different language.

"First of all, I think the language is completely different," Noah cracked.

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert

Among his many jokes about the transcripts, Stephen Colbert chastised the commander in chief for reportedly "talkin' smack about America," calling New Hampshire "a drug-infested den."

"Donald, you're the president of the United States," Colbert minded No. 45. "It's like being a parent. You have to love all the states equally, even if one of them is Eric."

The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

"At one point, Trump referred to U.S. dairy farmers as local milk people," Jimmy Fallon said of Trump's reported conversation between the president and Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull. "Even worse, he referred to cows as spotted milk horsies."
