Trevor Noah jokes the eclipse was an opportune time for Melania Trump 'to escape'

Like most of the country, the total solar eclipse was on Trevor Noah's mind Monday. 

And on Monday night's Daily Show, he showed viewers footage of people watching at the White House. 

He thought Jeff Sessions was "adorable" but was perplexed by the actions of First Lady Melania Trump.

"I mean Donald Trump and Melania were watching together, which surprised me," Noah said, "because I mean two minutes of total darkness? That should've been her chance to escape."

Noah also told his audience that Trump was advised not to look into the sun, a recommendation the host joked was not necessary.

"Don't worry about me. That's my policy: Every day, don't look at the son," Noah said doing a Trump impression as a photo of Eric Trump appeared over his shoulder.
