Santa in Dousman

The Dousman Chamber of Commerce invites the community to kick off the Christmas season with its Polar Express event beginning at noon Sunday, Dec. 4.

From noon to 3:30 p.m., attendees can get pictures taken of their children, family and friends with the Polar Express conductor and elves at the Polar Express Depot at village hall, 118 S. Main St. Hot Chocolate and cookies will be available.

The model railroad exhibit will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Dousman Masonic Lodge, 214 N. Main St. Polar Express trolley rides up and down Main Street, strolling carolers, and face painting and the chili/soup contest will run throughout the event.

At 4:30 p.m., Santa arrives at the Dousman Community Center, 235 N. Main St. for pictures, visits and to collect letters.

Bring a nonperishable food item for the Kettle Moraine Food Pantry. If you have questions about the overall event, would like to volunteer or are looking to be a sponsor, call Gini Brown at 262-965-3980.

Reminders

Holiday meet & greet: 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 3, Wildlife In Need Center, W349 S1480 S. Waterville Road. Opportunity to see all of the center's live educational ambassador animals up close and personal. Attendees can learn their stories and how they became ambassadors at WINC, along with fun facts about their species. Free, family-friendly event.
