12 Days of Pewaukee
Santa will be visiting the Chris Lueth American Family Agency from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 3, at 112 Main St., as one of the events to kick off the 12 Days of Pewaukee, sponsored by Positively Pewaukee, downtown businesses and nonprofit organizations. On the same day, children are invited to decorate holiday cookies from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Simply Cinnamon, 115 Oakton Ave. (call to reserve, 262-691-4022; $5 per child). Brothers Two Wine will have a holiday party from noon to 8 p.m. at 125 Oakton Ave. Santa Fun Run begins at 1 p.m. at the Pewaukee Lakefront Park, 222 W. Wisconsin Ave. Enjoy the tree lighting celebration from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Pewaukee Historical Society’s Clark House Museum, 206 E. Wisconsin Ave.

A holiday sweater contest for individuals and teams will include a photo shoot, holiday refreshments and awards from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6. Register for a time slot for your photo.
Manga & Anime Club meets at 3 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1. Planned for grades seven and up, this club meets twice monthly to read and watch anime, and activities too.
Science Saturday is a drop-in program for the whole family to explore the science concept of "ice" from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3. No registration required.
Wii bowling leagues for registered participants are from 10 to 11 a.m. and from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5.

Picture Book Friends programs will be held at 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Fridays, Dec. 2 and 9. Best for young children ages 2-4 and their adults to experience stories, songs, action rhymes, music and a craft or play time. No preregistration but arrive on time.

Creating a holiday
The Pewaukee Area Arts Council invites everyone to be creative during the 12 Days of Pewaukee. Create a pop-up holiday card from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5, at Kirkland Crossings, 700 Quinlan Drive. Decorate a cardboard Gingerbread House or Police Station from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, at Village Hall, 235 Hickory St. There is no charge; all supplies and assistants are provided.
