Christmas in Wales

Christmas in Wales this year will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10. Santa will arrive at village hall, 129 W. Main St., by fire engine at 11 a.m., and will be available for photos and visits. Horse-drawn wagon rides will begin at 11:30 a.m. from village hall.

The Christmas Snow Angel and frozen custard will be available at the Pedal’rs Inn, 101 James St. Attendees can enjoy live music, face painting and decorate Christmas cards at Mama D’s and Studio Amor, 104 W. Main St.

Jerusalem Presbyterian Church, 207 W. Main St., will offer a cookie sale, chili and hot dogs, craft and story time and a Kettle Moraine High School choral and jazz concert. BR Custom Woodcraft, 203 James St., will present a holiday wood project and hot apple cider. Next door at Golden Industrial Refrigeration, 203 James St., attendees can decorate cookies and enjoy hot chocolate. There will be strolling carolers throughout the event. Attendees can get their cards stamped by Santa’s elves at each location and return it to the Village Hall to be entered into a drawing for a gift basket.

Bring donations for the Kettle Moraine Food Pantry; there will be multiple collection locations.

Breakfast with Santa

Breakfast with Santa and a holiday craft fair will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, in the cafeteria at Kettle Moraine High School, 349 N. Oak Crest Drive, Wales. The KMHS symphonic band will perform Christmas music while attendees enjoy holiday activities such as pictures with Santa, fun projects for children and a large craft sale. Breakfast will be from 8:30 to 11 a.m. in the cafeteria; $7 for adults and $5 for children 10 and under. The holiday craft fair will run from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and admission is free.

Charter information nights

Kettle Moraine charter high schools will host informational meetings for prospective students and families interested in fall 2017 enrollment. Kettle Moraine Global will hold its first information night from 6 to 7 p.m. Dec. 5, in the  Kettle Moraine Global, Room 231, on the KMHS campus. Another session is planned for 6 to 7 p.m. Dec. 6, in Kettle Moraine Perform Room B21, down the hall from the main school office.

Women's book club

The Wales Women’s Book Club meets the first Wednesday of every month from 7 to 9 p.m. at Mama D's Coffee, 102 N. Main St., Wales. The group will meet again Wednesday, Dec. 7. Those interested in joining should call 262-443-0889.

A capella choir

A capella choir Crossroad and Night Divine will perform at a choral Christmas service beginning at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, hosted by Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 470 N. Oak Crest Drive, Wales.

Reminders

Energy assistance: Energy Services Inc. will come to the village of Wales Community Building to take applications for Energy Assistance from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6. Applicants must provide most recent energy bill, Social Security numbers for all members of the household, a photo ID, written proof of household’s gross income for the last three months such as payroll stubs, child support printouts, unemployment printouts and Social Security benefits verification letter.
