Mitten tree

Books & Company will host the Mitten Tree Book Drive. Select a mitten from the Mitten Tree and purchase a book at 20 percent off. Books & Company will gift wrap the book and donate it to the Oconomowoc Food Pantry. The books are given to families who visit the food pantry during December. For information, visit

OASD concerts

The Winter Jazz Concert featuring Oconomowoc High School Jazz Bands I and II and Silver Lake Intermediate seventh and eighth grade Jazz Band will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday Dec. 1. The OHS Choraliers, Concert Choir, and Vocal Jazz Choirs, Golden Gals and Gold Vibrations will perform a seasonal concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6.

The OHS Concert Band, OHS Symphonic Band and the award-winning OHS Wind Symphony directed by Michael Krofta will perform a traditional seasonal concert at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9. The OHS Orchestra is joined by seventh and eighth grade orchestra students from Nature Hill and Silver Lake Intermediate schools at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20. All concerts are free and held at the Oconomowoc Arts Center.

Winter farmers market

Kids Who Can

Elementary students are invited to decorate and share cookies with the residents at Hickory View Apartments, 211 S. Concord Road from 4 to 5:15 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8. There will also be crafts and assembly of gift bags. Space is limited to 25 children. Kids Who Can, a project of Oconomowoc Junior Woman's Club, offers opportunities for elementary students and their families to serve the community in a meaningful way. Parents' night out

The Oconomowoc Junior Woman’s Club and the Oconomowoc Area Historical Society will host Cookies with Santa at the Museum from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11, Oconomowoc Area Historical Society & Museum, 103 W. Angel on the Tree

Remember and honor a loved one or friend this holiday season and benefit Shorehaven residents through the purchase of an angel to be placed on the Tree of Love in Shorehaven Health and Rehabilitation Center’s lobby area.
