Book sale

The F.A.B.L.E. book sale is 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, April 3; 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 4; and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 5. Wednesday, April 5 is the $2-bag sale. Discover hidden treasures to add to your reading list, and support the Friends of the library at the sale.

Summer reading program

Gear up for the 2017 summer library program, with theme “Build a Better World!” Summer reading program T-shirts are now for sale for $7 as a fundraiser for F.A.B.L.E., the library's book sale. Styles are available for children, teens and adults. Order forms are in the library and can be submitted until March 31.

Young Artists’ Reception

Enjoy a special reception for the Youth Art Month exhibit, featuring pieces made by Palmyra-Eagle Elementary students, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 31. All community members, artists, family and friends are invited to enjoy the art work and light refreshments.


Preschool story with Maria Hinners, 9:30 a.m. Thursday, March 23. For ages 2 and older. Siblings are welcome.

Open games: Cards/tabletop gaming from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 24.  For kids in fifth grade and older.

Teen Kitchen: Teens in sixth through 12th grades prepare a snack using the provided ingredients, including mystery ingredients. Judges will decide who measures up in taste, presentation and creativity. Teens will be divided into teams. Spectators are invited. Register now.

After-school movie: The library will show a PG-rated animated movie at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 29. The movie is about the daughter of the chief of a Polynesian tribe who is chosen to set sail on a daring mission to save her people. Bring your pillow; the library will provide a snack.
