Historic boat tour

Shorehaven’s Oconomowoc Historic Boat Tours on Lac La Belle take place Monday through Friday, Aug. 14-18, during Festival Week. Boats launch from the dock behind the Center for Life Enrichment at 1306 W. Wisconsin Ave. Tours run 90 minutes at 1 and 6 p.m. Tickets are $15 and must be purchased in advance; payable to Shorehaven. Mail to Shorehaven, Attn: Boat Tour, PO Box 208, Oconomowoc WI 53066. Bands at the Beach

Bands at the Beach, featuring the band Crossfire, will take place from 7:30 to 10 p.m. Friday, June 23, at City Beach. The free concert is presented by Buddy's Beach Bungalow. For information on Crossfire, visit

Brat shack

The Oconomowoc Piggly Wiggly fundraiser brat shack is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will host the Saint Olaf Youth Group Saturday, June 24, and the Ashippun Business Association Sunday, June 25.

Oconomowoc Public Library

A live performance by ¡Say Olé! will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday, June 26. Bilingual storytelling in English and Spanish.

Yoga on the Green

Local yoga instructors who will teach a free session of yoga from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays, through Aug. 30, on the Village Green, 104 E. Wisconsin Ave. Donations requested to support local charities.

Legion band

The Oconomowoc American Legion Band will perform its concert at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, at the Rhodee Memorial Band Shell at City Beach. The American Legion Band performs Wednesdays throughout the summer. For information, visit

Books & Co

A free craft time will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 28. Kids ages 3 and older are invited to create art inspired by the books “Beautiful Oops” and “My Book of Beautiful Oops!: A Scribble It, Smear It, Fold It, Tear It Journal for Young Artists.” There will be paints, paper scraps, glue, crayons and more.

The Scholastic Summer Reading Tour Bus will be at Books & Co from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, July 1. Kids and families will have the opportunity to meet some of their favorite authors, including Dean Robbins, Natasha Tarpley and Allan Woodrow. There will be an activity tent with reading activities, giveaways and a prize wheel.    

Where's Waldo in Oconomowoc will take place July 1-31. Waldo is hiding all over Oconomowoc; pick up a passport beginning July 1 and find at least 25 Waldos hiding at businesses around Oconomowoc. Redemptorist retreats
