Join the Oconomowoc Tennis Classic for players ages 8 and older. The tournament is on Saturday, July 29, at the Oconomowoc High School tennis courts. Two matches are guaranteed. Entry fee is $25.
A new summer tennis opportunity is available. Ages 12 and younger are invited to join the Lake Country Junior Tennis program, which will meet from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Sundays, July 30-Aug. 27 at the Oconomowoc High School tennis courts. This program teaches young players match etiquette, strategy and scoring. The focus will be on fun. Each week will consist of a half-hour practice followed by one hour of match play. Cost is $20/resident; $30/out-of-district.
Don’t forget the final summer session of tennis lessons begin soon. Summer II session is July 24-Aug. 26. Lessons are offered to ages 4 and older with beginner to advanced lessons. Sign up now to get a spot.
Ages 4-9 golf
This program is a great way to introduce your child to the sport and begin skill development. This class for beginning players introduces concepts primarily focused on form, approach, swing, club introduction and more. Class meets Tuesday afternoons or Saturday mornings, July 25-Aug. 19. Cost: $48/resident; $72/nonresident.
Kids Dance for Fitness
Kids ages 12-15 can let loose and have fun in this crazy fun fitness dance class specifically tailored for tweens and teens. Rock out to dynamic and upbeat music with easy to follow choreography and an energetic instructor. Class meets from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesdays, Aug. 1-29. Cost: $30/resident; $45/nonresident.
Does your child love sports or want to know more about different sports concepts like throwing, catching, hitting, jumping, bouncing and more? Sports Start is a great class for them to learn them using fun and unique skill building games and activities. Sports Start is open to ages 3-6 and meets Thursday afternoons, Aug. 3-24. Cost: $48/resident; $72/nonresident.
