Theft

Police were called at about 2:55 p.m. on Jan. 2 for a report of people stealing wooden pallets from behind Kmart, 1450 Summit Ave. The driver of a black truck allegedly fled the scene, and when officers attempted to pull over the truck, the driver sped off. The truck stopped near Olympia Resort on Royal Mile Road, and a male passenger and female driver allegedly fled in different directions. Police caught up with the man, Vincent Michael Scrima, 29, and the woman, Ariel R. Sampler, 25, both of Hartland. Scrima was charged with trespass to land, theft of movable property between $50 and $199, resisting an officer, felony bail jumping, possession of narcotic drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and arrest with warrant. Sampler was charged with trespass to land, theft of moveable property between $50 and $199, misappropriate ID info and resisting an officer.

Disorderly conduct

Police arrested Bryan Stillwell, 29, of Oconomowoc, at about 6:30 a.m. on Jan. 1 for disorderly conduct. Police were called to 417 E. Pleasant St. by Stillwell's girlfriend who said he grabbed and squeezed her arms. Police learned that the two got into an argument after drinking on New Year's Eve.

Fire injury

Police were called to 560 Bolson Drive at about 8 a.m. on Dec. 30 for a report of a male juvenile injured in a fire. When they arrived, police learned that the minor was burned by a stove fire that was caused by a candle. Police believe the candle started a grease fire, and the boy was injured trying to put out the flames. The juvenile was transported to Children's Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
