Retail theft

Police arrested two women at about 1:10 p.m. on Jan. 7 at Goodwill, 1408 Summit Ave., for retail theft. Store employees called police when the women tried to flee the store with items that were not paid for. Police determined that the women had tried to steal $145 worth of goods from the store. A Watertown woman was cited with retail theft of less than $50. Another Watertown woman was cited with retail theft less than $50 and for a Waukesha police warrant. Neither woman has been charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court.

Criminal damage to property

Police were called to Parkside Apartments, 211 W. Jefferson St. at about 8:10 a.m. on Jan. 7 for a report of criminal damage to property. Upon arrival, police discovered that four garage lights and the driver's side window of a black Volkswagon had been broken. A resident told police she saw two people in hooded sweatshirts leave the scene of the crime in a black, four-door car at about 5 a.m. that morning. She did not get the make, model or license plate. The case is listed as closed.

OWI 2nd offense

Police arrested Alexandra Lee Esser, 27, of Sullivan on Jan. 4 in the 1100 block of Summit Avenue for operating while intoxicated, her second offense. An officer pulled over Esser after noticing her failing to maintain her lane while driving. When he approached her car, he noticed a bottle of alcohol, a case of beer and a strong odor of alcohol, according to a police report. During a field sobriety test, Esser swayed, raised her arms, hopped and put her foot down duone-legone leg stand, the report said. She also couldn't maintain her balance during a walk and turn test. She refused a breath test, and was arrested. She is charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court with her second OWI.

Damage to school

Police are investigating vandalism at Oconomowoc Senior High School, 641 E. Forest St. that occurred during the early morning hours of Jan. 7, according to a police report. Several transport vans had body damage and broken windows. Police are still investigating the incident and ask anyone with information to call them at 262-567-4401.

Police are investigating the damage and ask anyone with information regarding the vandalism to call them at 262-567-4401.
