December is National Bingo month, and the library will celebrate by playing a library-wide bingo game. Both adults and kids are invited to play by checking out any three items. If the library gets a bingo by Dec. 22, the library will provide ice cream at the Bingo Party Dec. 29. If the library doesn't get a bingo, the party will still take place.
Storytime at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 7, will include stories, songs and rhymes that are designed to help children develop the early literacy skills they need to be reading ready. Activities are designed for ages 3 to 5.
Talking About Books
Join our upper elementary book club for kids in third grade and up at 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 7. Those interested can stop by and pick up their copy of the books at the youth circulation desk.
Children ages birth to 6 are invited to come in their pajamas for a holiday story, snacks and playtime at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 9.
Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh Club
Join other enthusiasts and test your gaming skills from 10 to noon Saturday, Dec. 10. Participants can bring their own cards or borrow from the library.
Hear the music of the season from the New Fort Atkinson Guitar Ensemble from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5. Be entertained with a selection of popular and traditional carols. Free and open to the public.
Elfie Selfie: Starting Dec. 1, stop by the youth department and take an "Elfie Selfie." This opportunity will be available all month long.
