Color for relaxation

Adult coloring is set for 5 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, and 9 a.m. to noon Friday, May 5.

Bring a friend and spend some time coloring, relaxing and chatting.

Mother Goose Day

Stop by for Wacky Monday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 1 and celebrate Mother Goose Day with themed activities and crafts. Test your knowledge of Mother Goose nursery rhymes and maybe learn a few new ones.

Story time

There is no story time, Wednesday, May 3.

Story time will resume May 10.

Doughnuts, R.E.A.Dogs

The last meeting to read to the dogs before the summer break is 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 6. Several certified therapy dogs will be available and waiting for children to read to them. The library will provide doughnuts to all participants and families. All school-aged children are invited to attend.

Reminders

Library's new Lucky Day Collections: Books and DVDs in the Lucky Day Collections will have the same checkout period as other items (two weeks for books, one week for DVDs), a limit of two Lucky Day items per card is in place.

Friends of the Library used book sale: 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday, May 5, and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 6. Used books, DVDs and other treasures will be available for sale. Donations of used books in good condition will be accepted until April 28. Call the library at 920-674-7733, ext. 3, with questions.

View PBS documentary “Being Mortal,” 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 13. This 50-minute program deals with end-of-life issues and is adapted from the book, “Being Mortal” by Dr. Atul Gawande. The documentary chronicles the journeys of five people facing the end of life and provides insight to the issues surrounding this difficult time. Dr. Richard Hansen will lead a discussion after the film.
