City of Pewaukee -- Point Burger Bar is ready to open its doors to the public at its Pewaukee location.
Wednesday, Nov. 30, marked an invite-only ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new restaurant, followed by a public grand opening Dec. 1 at the new location, in the former American TV & Appliance building.
Owner Brian Ward said he wanted to open a second location since business had been going well at the restaurant's first location at 10950 Good Hope Road, Milwaukee. The restaurant concept is based off Las Vegas style burger bars, and it includes offerings from Stevens Point Brewery.
"It's extending the brand. We're excited to be out in Lake Country. It's a big restaurant, and it's a cool place," Ward said.
The new location will be at W229 N1400 Westwood Drive next to Veloce Speedway, and will use up to 15,000 square feet of the building. Viewing windows are in place in the dining area for people to watch the go-karts race.
The restaurant's menu includes a variety of items, such as specialty burgers and a build-your-own option, along with entrees like Friday fish fry and roasted garlic chicken breasts, according to the company website.
