The Sussex Chamber has a number of events coming up, for both the business community and the community at large.
Spooky Sussex is set for Oct. 21 in the Village Park. Events start at 5 p.m. – bring the kids!
The next chamber event is set for Oct. 22. The grand opening of the new Civic Center will start at 4 and end at 7 p.m., and will include food, prizes and fun for all.
The Manufacturing Career Expo at the Washington County Fairgrounds will be held from Oct. 26 to 27. This is the eighth year in a row that multiple chambers – including Menomonee Falls, Germantown and Sussex – have worked together to make this event possible. The expo is a great way for our local high school students to see what kind of careers are available at local manufacturers. Manufacturing is on a rebound in the U.S., and especially southeastern Wisconsin.
The Sussex Chamber will host Cocktails and Connections Nov. 16 at the new Sussex Civic Center. The event is a great way for local businesses to meet, exchange ideas and help one another. We hosted this event last year and had a fantastic turnout. Attendees will be able to meet everyone in attendance and give them a 45-second “elevator pitch.” Then, we’ll have time after the structured part of the event to meet up if needed.
According to feedback from some of the attendees, the last Cocktails and Connections was the best event the chamber hosted all year! We are expecting a record crowd this year, so those interested are encouraged to sign up early at sussexareachamber.org.
