We are nearing the end of a very successful year for the Sussex Area Chamber of Commerce.

The Chamber moved into our new office in the new civic campus. Our office is located just to the left of the main entrance. We invite the community to "check out the new digs" – they are quite nice.

The Chamber also had a very successful golf outing, setting records for attendees and fun. Additionally, our Lunch and Learns events, as well as the Leadership Series, were well attended. We received very positive feedback, and we're grateful for all that attended.

We also awarded a scholarship to a Sussex Hamilton High School student. He will be attending Waukesha County Technical College and majoring in welding.

There are also several developments to look for next year with the Chamber.

We are designing a new, more interactive website. We'll have more current events and an interactive map where advertisers can better communicate with their customers.

One of our Lunch and Learns will feature a chef who specializes in wild game preparation. With the hunting seasons coming to a close, I am sure our hunters will be all over this event. Those interested can keep an eye on our website for updates.

In our Leadership Series, the Chamber will have some interactive team building with one of our own in Sussex. Again, more information is soon to come on our website, or those interested can contact the Chamber for more info.

The golf outing next year will be bigger and better, with the long range weather forecast predicting a great day. Those looking to participate should start getting their team ready.

Lastly, Chamber members can show their products and services in our new showcase in the new civic campus.

I would like to thank our board and all the volunteers that make all of this possible.
