The annual Mukwonago Publications Yule Feed Families food drive is off to a slow start this year. Michael and Melissa Bruder were the first to donate, giving $500 to the Mukwonago Food Pantry.

Yule Feed Families benefits the Mukwonago Food Pantry and the Kitchen Kupboard Food Pantry at Mount Olive Church. 

Checks can be made out to either or both food pantries and delivered or mailed to the Mukwonago Chief office at 111 N. Rochester St, Unit 3, Mukwonago, WI 53149. by 5 p.m., Dec. 21. The Mukwonago Chief office hours are 9 a.m. - 1 p.m., Monday - Wednesday.

The Mukwonago Chief will contribute 70 cents for every dollar donated, up to a maximum contribution of $500. Donations of food items will be matched by a contribution of 40 cents per item.

In the past eight years, the annual food drive has contributed more than $39,000 and more than 1,000 items to the Mukwonago food pantries.
