MUKWONAGO — Citizens Bank, which has 12 locations throughout Waukesha and Walworth counties, announced March 20 a year of giving through its "125 Years of Giving Back, Looking Forward" community enrichment campaign to commemorate the bank’s 125th anniversary.
The bank will contribute $125,000 in 2017 through corporate donations, community support and sponsorships and individual giveaways including a contest open to the public.
“Serving personal and business customers in southeastern Wisconsin for 125 years, throughout every stage of life and business, means everything to us and we’re pleased to make a positive impact in our community today and for the future,” said Citizens Bank CEO Charlie Miller in a press release. “We believe that as a community bank, we have a responsibility to make the communities we serve a better place to live and work.”
As part of this year of giving, the bank will launch a monthly giveaway campaign, the “Kick-Start Your Dreams” sweepstakes, open to all individuals in the communities served by Citizens Bank.
Each month beginning in March, multiple $125 giveaways will be awarded to help participants get started on achieving their financial goals.
“We understand the financial considerations that come along in different stages of our lives, from education and careers to families and retirement, as well as the different cycles that affect business owners,” said Citizens Bank President Doug Bruins in a press release.
“We’re excited to help individuals and businesses continue to invest in their futures with these $125 gestures.”
Donations to local charitable organizations and community sponsored events, scholarships, and other civic contributions will be determined by Citizens Bank and announced separately from the “Kick-Start Your Dreams” sweepstakes, the release said.
