MUKWONAGO - Village of Mukwonago officials launched a new individual web page specifically designed to better serve site selectors and economic/business development professionals.
MukwonagoMeansBusiness.com reflects a new attitude toward business development in the village located along the Interstate-43 corridor, just outside of Milwaukee. The new website houses data, reports, maps and available properties. Information is broken out by industrial, residential and commercial interests. Videos of executives who chose Mukwonago also reflect on their experiences working with the village.
“Our new business development website makes it easier to determine whether Mukwonago is a contender for a particular business or developer,” Village Administrator John Weidl said in a written statement. “We still have our village site for government and community information. But MukwonagoMeansBusiness.com makes it quicker to access materials crucial to development decisions.”
A press release from the villlage said Mukwonago is experiencing a building boom. With its newly-minted comprehensive plan and a governing body elected—and re-elected—on a growth platform, Mukwonago is poised for millions more in development along the I-43 corridor.
“Mukwonago is in a strong position based on proximity to the interstate,” Village President Fred Winchowky said in a written statement. “Our new comprehensive plan allows for the best of all worlds. A plan to grow. A solid tax base to provide community services. All without sacrificing the open spaces and small-town feel that draws people to the community.”
Over the last six years, the village has worked with the likes of Pro Health Care, Kwik Trip, Aldi and Gearbox Express among others to efficiently move projects forward. In fact, over 18 months—from concept to land acquisition to completion—the village developed a new industrial park with Gearbox Express now operating as its anchor tenant.
Millions of dollars in investment to date by companies indicates a record of growth. The recently approved comprehensive plan provides a clear foundation for future growth and demonstrates a commitment to development. Hundreds of acres are zoned for a wide array of developments. This among other quality of life factors, such as schools, public safety, housing and infrastructure investment, makes Mukwonago of interest to the development community, the press release said.
