A fire that broke out Thursday afternoon at the Berkshire senior apartments in Oconomowoc has displaced at least eight people.
Firefighters were called to the senior living facility at about 3 p.m. Dec. 29 for a report of a third-floor fire.
A total of 11 apartments were damaged from smoke or water.
According to Dousman Fire District Chief Brad Bowen, two people were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation, but no one was transported to the hospital.
Those displaced will either stay with family members or arrangements will be made with the American Red Cross, Bowen said. At least 11 nearby fire departments responded to the fire.
A cause of the fire remains under investigation.
