The town of Lisbon compost site, N80 W25354 Plainview Road,  accepts brush and yard waste, said Joe DeStefano Jr. of the town public works department.

Lisbon residents must first obtain a pass to use the site. Passes can be purchased at town hall on Woodside Road for $18 or by mail for $20.

Village of Merton and town of Merton residents may also use the site, as long as they have a pass, which can be obtained at their respective town/village halls. The pass is $25 for Merton residents.

“Also at that the compost site is compost and wood chips that are free to anyone with a pass,” added DeStefano. No machine is on site, so compost and wood chips must be loaded by hand.

Compost site hours are from 4 to 7:50 p.m.Mondays and 9 a.m. to 3:50 p.m. Saturdays.
