Aaron Judge's strikeout streak finally comes to an end

AP

DETROIT (AP) — Aaron Judge singled and walked three times before being removed in the seventh inning Tuesday night, ending his record-setting streak of 37 games with at least one strikeout.

The Yankees' Aaron Judge is congratulated after scoring in the third inning against the Tigers at Comerica Park in Detroit.

The New York Yankees led Detroit 11-1 when Judge was removed for a pinch-hitter. It was the slugger's first game without a strikeout since July 7.

Judge walked in each of his first three plate appearances. He singled in the fifth, and New York sent Jacoby Ellsbury up to pinch-hit for him in the seventh.
