New York Yankees rookie outfielder Clint Frazier will be sent back to the minors as soon as Aaron Hicks is activated from the disabled list.

Clint Frazier could be the odd man out with Aaron Hicks returns to the Yankees lineup.

Yankees general manager Brian Cashman told The New York Post that his plan it to “send Frazier out” whenever Hicks is healthy enough to return. Hicks has been sidelined with a right oblique injury since June 25.

“But Hicks isn’t doing anything yet, so that is down the road," Cashman said.

The Yankees also have outfielders Aaron Judge, Brett Gardner and Jacoby Ellsbury on the roster.

Frazier, 22, made his major league debut on July 1. He’s hit .298 with three home runs and eight RBI in 13 games. Frazier was ranked as the 17th-best prospect in baseball by MLBPipeline.com entering the season.
