Indiana Pacers forward Paul George (13) holds off the defending Cleveland Cavaliers guard Deron Williams (31) in the first half of their NBA playoff basketball game Sunday, April 23, 2017, afternoon at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

The Indiana Pacers lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers 106-102 Sunday as the Cavs completed the four-game series sweep.

The Pacers scrambled back from a double-digit fourth-quarter deficit and led 102-100 on a Thad Young putback. However, LeBron James hit a 3.

Paul George lost the ball on the next possession, but the Pacers stole the ball back a second later. George shot an airball 3, and Cleveland put the game away at the free throw line.

James had 33 points and 10 rebounds, and Kyrie Irving had 28 points for the Cavs.

Lance Stephenson led the Pacers with 22 points, while Myles Turner had 20 points and 9 rebounds. Paul George, who shot 5-of-21, had 15 points. Jeff Teague had 15 points and 10 assists. Young had 13 points and 10 rebounds.

BOX SCORE: Cavs 106, Pacers 102

The Pacers were swept by a total of 16 points, tying the league record for the smallest margin in a four-game swept series.

The Pacers were 42-40 in the regular season, winning their final five games to make the playoffs. That spark came shortly after Stephenson rejoined the team.

Potential questions for the offseason will include the future of coach Nate McMillan (who just completed his first season), George (who has one season remaining on his contract) and Teague (who will be a free agent).

FOURTH QUARTER

The teams trade turnovers before Paul George misses a 3. That essentially finishes the season.

Kyle Korver hits two free throws and the Cavs lead 105-102 with 19.1 seconds left.

LeBron James' 3 with 1:08 left puts the Cas up 103-102. James then forces a steal from Thad Young.

Thad Young ties it at 100 with 2:35 left, then his putback tip gives the Pacers a 102-100 lead with 1:31 left. Cavs haven't scored since a Kyrie Irving basket with 6:01 left.

Pacers get a steal but they miss two go-ahead 3s.

Myles Turner's basket with 4:17 left brings the Pacers within 100-98.

Paul George hits a 3, and the Pacers trim their deficit to 98-93 with 6:26 left.

Pacers are treading early in the quarter. Lance Stephenson has 20 points, Myles  Turner 18. Cavs lead 96-86 with 8:55 left.

Cavs lead the Pacers 88-77. Kyrie Irving and LeBron James have 26 points each. Lance Stephenson leads the Pacers with 18.

Cleveland ramps up its defense, challenging more Pacers shots and ball handlers.

Pacers play good defense on LeBron James, but he recovers to swat Thad Young's layup.

Kyrie Irving has 7 points early in the quarter, and is up to 17.

Pacers chip into their deficit. Paul George's 3 makes it 65-63 Cavs with 8:19 left.

So Paul George took a minute to regather himself after that Kevin Love knee and stayed in the game.

Myles Turner is called for a charge with 2:23 left and the Pacers trailing 54-50. He has 9 points and 4 rebounds.

Thad Young ties it at 50 with 3:12 left, but LeBron James follows with two layups to get to 18 points.

Lance Stephenson's 3 gives him 11 points and brings the Pacers within 38-37.

Channing Frye and Deron Williams have 3s, giving the Cavs a small cushion. Lance Stephenson is allowed to shooting anything he wants and has 8 points on 7 shots. Monta Ellis is struggling. Cavs lead 37-32 with 7:58 left.
