Mike Leach doesn't want to comment at presser so he won't get fined

USA TODAY Sports

Washington State continued its winning streak Saturday with a 37-32 victory at Arizona State, but the more interesting clash continued to be the one between Cougars coach Mike Leach and the Sun Devils' Todd Graham.

Arizona State Sun Devils head coach Todd Graham (left) has some words for Washington State Cougars head coach Mike Leach.

After the game, Graham confronted Leach with some harsh words. And Leach responded with an odd press conference.

During a Monday teleconference, Leach accused Arizona State of having a "command center" designed to help the Sun Devils steal sideline signals from opposing teams. Leach suggested the Pac-12 should investigate. Instead, the conference on Thursday reprimanded Leach and fined the coach $10,000.

Graham had declined to comment about the issue during the week other than to say that Arizona State played by the rules. But he got his say after the game Saturday in an exchange with Leach during their handshake. Although, it was clear from the video Graham did most of the talking.

During his postgame news conference, Leach then channeled Marshawn Lynch, repeatedly declining to comment on anything about Arizona State so, as he said, he would not get fined.

Graham declined after the game to discuss what he said to Leach.

The Cougars have won five in a row and are 5-2 overall, 4-0 in the Pac-12 North to share the lead with Washington.

The exchange between Graham and Leach is below. Warning, you can hear the profanity.
