Joel Stave (Whitnall)was released by the Minnesota Vikings from their practice squad, and he's already found a new home, latched on to the practice squad with the Seattle Seahawks. Poor Stave, who drew (in my opinion) a healthy slab of unfair criticism during his playing days at the University of Wisconsin, only needs to play for the Chicago Bears to complete the holy trinity of Packers fans' least favorite teams. But he's on a team now with several former Badgers, including quarterback Russell Wilson.

Delavan-Darien staged one of the bigger first-round upsets when it knocked off Mount Horeb/Barneveld in overtime. Here are some details on the game, which set up this week's meeting at Pewaukee. Waukesha West also got a home game in Level 2 that it may not have expected, but Watertown's aerial attack helped yet another No. 7 seed upset a No. 2 when it took down Wilmot.
